Do you want to immerse yourself in Italian culture from your own home? Participate in our virtual workshops as coaches and help coach our Italian students ages 7 to 12 in English. $15 per hour or $150 per week for a full week.

The Italian children who participate in our workshops learn English through doing— English is a means rather than an end. We help the Italian children by providing them with some vocabulary but mostly we just walk them through the activity.
The workshops will run from Monday to Friday from 4pm to 6pm in our virtual piazza. We are planning on groups of 10 to 15 children with two university students, or coaches as we call them, guiding the courses. One of the two adults should know Italian in case it is necessary to communicate in Italian although we encourage the use of English. We can help find the second coach if necessary as well as find one who speaks Italian to complete the teams of two coaches per workshop.
The university students or coaches are asked to create content and conduct the workshops for the children under our guidance and we will be involved in the scheduling. The content should be at two different levels (absolute beginners and lower intermediate).
We have a lesson plan format to help in designing the course content. It is very straightforward and will help both the student and the teacher to stay on track. It takes about an hour to create the lesson plan as the coaches are teaching something they know a lot about.
We are looking for energetic, smart coaches with the ability to improvise if necessary. We will guide you and offer suggestions based on the experience we have had over our 16 years of running camps for Italian children.
