The Italian Department at Georgetown’s LCL Language Fair

On Thursday, April 3rd, the Italian Department took part in Georgetown’s inaugural Language Fair in Red Square, an event designed to introduce students to the many language programs offered across campus.

Throughout the day, we spoke with visitors about the Italian major and minor, upcoming courses, and opportunities to engage more deeply with Italian language and culture. We also ate cookies (thank you Prof.ssa Melucci & family!) and sang classic Italian songs with guitar (thank you Prof.s Ciabattoni & Benedetti!)—including Bella Ciao and Nel blu, dipinto di blu.
