Italian Language and Culture Conference

The Italian Language and Culture Conference (ILCC) is a biennial event organized since 2013 at Georgetown by Professors Donatella Melucci and Louise Hipwell. The conference is sponsored by the Department of Italian, the FLL, and the Embassy of Italy in Washington DC, and is one of a series of events created to celebrate Italian Language Week in October. The symposium gathers scholars and teachers of Italian from the US and abroad and provides a venue for them to share their research and pedagogical strategies at both the high school and college level. Past Keynote Speakers have included, Prof. Dennis Looney (MLA), Prof. Giuseppe Cavatorta (University of Arizona), Prof. Nicoletta Marini-Maio (Dickinson College), and Prof. Luciana Fellin (Duke University).
