Study Abroad Exam
The Study Abroad Exam takes place twice a year (usually in September and February). It consists of two sessions: in the first session students are tested on listening comprehension, grammar, reading comprehension and writing skills, and in the second session they are tested on their oral skills through an interview with two professors from the department. The interview focuses on a variety of topics such as personal connections to Italy, family, routine, studies and interests. Students are normally ready to take this exam after they have completed Intensive Advanced Italian II.
