I Solisti Aquilani, Summer 2025

My month in L’Aquila was essential in my Italian language journey, preparing me immensely for my time studying abroad. The people at I Solisti Aquilani were thoughtful and patient with my shaky Italian, and attending one of their concerts at a remote castle in Abruzzo was a highlight of my month. Another highlight of my month was getting to meet the locals, as well as other Italian students studying in L’Aquila who I still keep in touch with. Experiencing a way of living outside the main Italian cities, becoming regulars at local spots, nightly gelato, and occasional colloquialisms from the dialect of L’Aquila I still use are all things I will never forget about this summer.
