A Performance by Dr. Riccardo Pratesi: Dante Here and Now

On March 27, the Department of Italian Studies and Department of Medieval Studies hosted a performance by Dr. Riccardo Pratesi titled Dante Here and Now, with an introduction from Professor Francesco Ciabattoni.

In Italian, Dr. Pratesi brought to life Cantos 5, 26, and 33 of the Inferno, with resources for texts and translations made available to attendees.

Dr. Riccardo Pratesi graduated in Physics from the University of Florence (Italy) and received his Ph.D. in History of Science from the University of Pisa. His research has focused on Dante’s traces in the history of science, with particular attention to Galileo’s studies on Dante’s Inferno.
