Renaissance Dreams

On Tuesday, April 22, the Department of Italian and the Department of East Asian Languages & Cultures hosted Renaissance Dreams, an event featuring the presentation of the volume I Sogni nel Rinascimento and a conversation about the relevance of dreams in early modern culture.

The conversation brought together distinguished speakers, including Damiano Acciarino, professor at Università Ca’ Foscari in Venice; Laura Benedetti, professor and chair of Georgetown’s Italian Department; Philip Kafalas, professor in Georgetown’s Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures; and Maria Gabriella Matarazzo, fellow at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.

Many thanks to everyone who attended this successful and thought-provoking event.
